Vacation Employment Programme

To provide highly motivated, career-oriented university students with the practical experience, professional mentoring and personal insight into the daily operations of their chosen field of study, so as to allow for a real life understanding of what it takes to have a successful career.

The Vacation Employment Programme has been in operation for over five (5) years and has been a staple in the First Citizens Youth Development Programme ever since its inception and forms part of our Corporate Social Responsibility as a Group.

Minimum Programme Requirements:

  • Enrolled in an Accredited Degree Programme
  • Five (5) GCE O’Levels A, B or C or CXC grade I, II or III (including Mathematics and English Language which must be at grade I or II or A or B level. Please note that not more than two (2) of the other subjects should be at a grade III level
  • Completed no more than two (2) years of their chosen Degree programme
  • The Programmes of focus are as follows:

Business Management/Administration
Marketing &/ Communications
Accounting & Finance
Project Management
Actuarial Science
Computing & Information Systems
Health, Safety & Environment


Programme Duration :
Approximately six (6) to eight (8) weeks during the June to August Academic Break.
